I own 2 early Datsun Z cars. I owned a 1972 240Z for 13 years and a 1975 280Z for 6 years and love those cars, wish they still made them. I own a 987.2 2010 Cayman S and have made several performance modifications to get the flywheel HP into the low 370 range. While I don't dislike the newer Z cars, my preference was the old one's with the HLS 30 inline 6's.

I have a 2KSE and a '04MSM.. why am I looking at NCs? One reason is the FM turbo for the NC is 'almost ready', and I don't know, they are kind of growing on me. What is the best year and why?

I do have error code P0441. Can one also do the blow and suck test to see if the valve is not leaking. Did you test your old N80 valve and did you feel that the car is losing boost at top of the RPM

Great video, my first car was a R57 S convertible and did a similar process as well. Got my ‘03 Miata about the same time as you as well and the process was significantly easier. With my Elantra N, I haven’t found a hitch solution that would work without significant cutting so I’ve gone with the roof rack solution. Keep up the great work!

Even when i got my mk6 golf gti it was stock and i hear the BOV clear as day now i have upgraded down pipe cold air intake a full exhaust system and a better BOV and stage 2 tune its a monster

Hey guys! Great content. I recently just purchased these same exact plugs on ebay and they say it's only compatible with the 2020 models or lower & I have a 2023 Elantra N. Should I be worried?

i’m curious for anyone who sees this, I bought the Fill Race 3” for my 8th gen, My only question is how did you guys fit it up to the cat? I had a local Fab shop build me a 2.5”-3” adapter. the adapter is about 3” long so it made putting the exhaust on quite hard because the entire system was pushed back 3 inches. again, my question is how to mount it properly, and if I need a header, 3” headers are very hard for me to find, found 2 but Needs a test pipe

One things I’d say about the NC is that its not got the JDM feel of the NB / NA and to me it didn’t feel as raw or nimble. I love the white dials on my NB and how tightly packaged it is.

This is one of the best NC Miata reviews I’ve seen. Great job. I’m shopping for an NC PRHT. I found a 2009 sport with 5 speed and no lsd and very low miles for a good price. Really have wanted a club or grand touring. What are your thoughts on the 5 speed? Is it easy enough to upgrade to the lsd or do I really not even need it? Are there features I’d miss out on with the sport? Thanks again for posting a great video. If I had the money I’d almost want to shop for the 370z-I’ve driven those and they are so fun and I love the styling. I think your choice in that car is solid.

I’ve had two NC’s miata in the past a soft top & PRHT I sold them a while back & got a 370z. I got bored of it real quick so I sold it & got myself another soft top nc miata ! Don’t regret it, 29k miles on the odometer. Also great video 👍🏽

The NC was the first Miata I drove. Have had an R32 skyline, 350Z, Rx8, BRZ and MK4 supra I never looked at Miatas before my Aunt gave me the keys to her NC. From that day I've been a fan, it has balance of power, handling and comfort. Ended up owning 2 NB2s. Also check out an MR2 Spyder, they're underpowered but the steering and grip they have make up for it.

Get the top hat for the starvation from CJM it’s a must need for VQs especially if you track it. And grab some kyb struts swift springs if you like some low or send it for TeinBC or fortune auto coils if your budget allows and you’re set 😎

Nice video. In the United States I'd pick the 2007 Cayman S over the 2011 Z everyday with the price comparison there. In Australia the equivalent Z is around $25000 - $30000 with the equivalent Cayman S around two to three times more expensive at $60000 - $75000. A vastly different choice / value proposition 🤔.

I bought an NC1 first time Miata owner 8 months ago. Best decision I’ve made. Just thrown in a new expansion tank, front and rear sways and a race exhaust from Goodwin Racing. Love it

How do the brakes feel compared to the nb? The NB feels kinda squishy to me.

Love the track footage! I fuel starve every time at Waterford, right at the end of T1. Looking at a Radium surge tank to try resolve that. I'll also warn you that with 200tw tires, I ran into some major brake cooling challenges at my last day at Waterford. Currently 3D printing some ducts to try to get some air flow to the calipers.
